"Hyperion has a mass one thousand times less than our moon, with very low density, so JPL thinks there must be cavities inside.

This moon was discovered in 1848 by William and George Bond and also William Lassel,it has an interesting resonance 4:3 respect to Titan, these means Titan rotates 4 times around Saturn for every 3 times Hyperion does.

The characteristics of Hyperion make it an interesting target, due the way the moon's surface develops on analysis of the results of the Cassini's cameras that inspect it , data show irregular morphology as if suffering damage from external agents million of years , but there are well known facts about it: it does have a sponge-like shape covered by craters that accentuate it's irregular surface and diameter of 270 kilometer,, Hyperion has an irregular orbit and irregular rotation speed, this causes problems to predict which face the moon will be shown when taking images from it.

The instruments used by Cassini to are the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS ) which has CCD cameras of Wide field and Narrow field(ten times better resolution according to the booklet we got from Ms Jane Jones at JPL) to get images in a frequency of visible light specter of the moon mentioned; it also uses the Visible & Infrared Mapping Spectrometer (VIMS) which provides information and chemical characteristics using wave frequencies of the infrared and visible specter, this type of instrument is used for long range calculation and detection, the Composite Infrared Spectrometer (CIS) which uses infrared light wave frequencies to obtain information about the thermal characteristics of the bodies researched,some researchers at JPL wonder if caves exists,and where are its poles.

Detailing of the surface with more accuracy would aid when trying to estimate its irregular rotation around Saturn, with this results it can be taken in consideration that perhaps it's a captured asteroid. Also the analysis of the composition and speed of the powder from this satellite would give us information of the object that impacted it in a earlier period of time.

We question what causes asteroids penetrate so deeply within? According to the Cassini Booklet some possible hidrocarbons were detected in this moon in 2005.

Dark materials were also observed inside some craters,besides carbon dioxide and water ice.The biggest cráter is 120 km diameter and 10 km .and rotates some 1and 1/2 million ,km.from Saturn in over 21 days.It would be interesting a close watch on this moon,but since not all instruments can point simoultaneously at Hyperion our multi-school team suggests humbly, JPL scientists a close watch on Saturns changing season and its new amazing storms!!!

Also at the end of life of Cassini,we would suggest humbly JPL scientists try to gently descent the ship on its surface,taking advantage of its low gravity just at it was done in the Eros asteroid."
